As DOH's birthday is next week.....
What is the weirdest present you have given to your other half? Took him to the Tank Museum last year and we have been back 3 times already. Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? Thankfully, no. Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? Yes, a wash carry case! (From MIL  )
What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? A ring from DOH with the latin script roughly translating 'here is my heart, guard it well'.

What is the weirdest present you have given to your other half?
I bought him a z board - a type of keyboard that you can put different key sets into. I did this so that he could have a World of Warcraft key set. He loves it. 
Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? As if! And he is given no opportunity to forget mine either!! Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? Secret Santa bought me some saucy knickers with an obscene message on the front. I simply didn't want to know who had bought them... What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? I think my iPod was probably my most exciting present ever. What would I do without the glorious world of podcasts? |

a coffee machine. at the time boss was working from home so it saved her walking up and down the stairs. not romantic but practical. Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? yes! once and no, I could not salvage that one! ( five years after she spoke to me again....!) Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? boringly no! unless you count 4 bottles of stella wife beater! What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? my train experience! I drove a 80 ton steam train....schoolboy dream fulfilled! |

We give each other lots of strange presents (although he seems to have settled into mostly buying me jewellery). I got him a beanie with built in iPod speakers that I thought might be rubbish, but he was wearing it whilst doing the gardening yesterday - I realised after about the 10th time he ignored something I said to him. Hmmm... Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? I do forget exactly what date it is sometimes but by the time it's getting near I get reminded enough to not forget on the day! Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? A friend bought me my first vibrator - actually quite a thoughtful gift but I would have preferred not to have unwrapped it at the table at her Christmas Eve dinner party. What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? My best friend from school gave me a pen that's engraved with my name and 2000 (when she gave it to me). For some reason I love that pen, every now and then it slips down the back of the couch or disappears in my uni papers and I'm stressed until it turns up again (or the house is turned upside down until it's found). |

My OH works in a rather dull city centre office, so I gave him a 'Grow Your Own Sunflower' kit for Christmas. He LOVES it and sends me regular photos by text by way of updates. :) Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? Never, as fortunately his birthday is on Armistice Day, so the poppy sellers are a good hint. ;) Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? I once got a porcelain doll that played 'Autumn Leaves' (WTF?!) as a birthday present from a great aunt. I am freaked senseless by these things and packed it off to a charity shop as soon as I opened it. Fortunately, she is a bit mad and has a four second memory, so has never asked me about it or its whereabouts since. What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? My best ever present was 'official' half ownership of one of my beloved horses. :) |

What is the weirdest present you have given to your other half?
My OH is really into comics and his favorite character is Batman. He's also a graphic designer and draws his own comic book stories. One year I bought him one of those wooden figures that you can put in different poses, and I painted it to look like Batman. It isn't really used for its intended purpose because we're too busy making it do funny poses. Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? He's not really into birthdays so even if I did forget it he wouldn't care. I never have though, and always try to make a bit of a fuss for Mr Grumpy. Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? My sister and I once got matching shower caps from my great aunt for christmas. She was fucking minted as well and all we got were shower caps. What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? My ex knew I was a big fan of Gary Larson so one christmas he bought me the special edition book containing every cartoon he ever did. It weights a ton and must have cost him loads but I still read it to this day. |

What is the weirdest present you have given to your other half? - OK I have no idea why I'm sharing this but I gave DH vouchers for
sexual favours for Christmas with an expiry date of New Years Eve, I'm keeping some dignity here and not sharing the rest of the information.
Have you ever forgotten his/her birthday? How did you save the day? DH and I are only 1 day apart with our birthdays so I do not have an excuse. Have you ever received an inappropriate present from someone? MIL bought me a stainless wire basket in the shape of a chicken to put eggs in - I have no further comment. What present have your received that you still have and appreciate? - A friend bought me a gold chain for my 21st and I still wear it and love it. Most of all DH bought me earrings on our wedding day which I love.
