This may sound a small victory, but it got me chuffed!

First some background for my non teacher friends... we all get some "PPA" time during the week - time out of class to do the huge amounts of paperwork sucessive governments think is important. People also in my school tend to use this time for docs appointments and stuff, as its easier.

Anyway, 2 moos on the teaching staff (divorced mums, life so hard...etc) both asked for time off on Thursday am to see their...

Completely off-topic but it was just being mentioned on the news bulletins that many people are using these "Cash for Gold" offers where you send unwanted jewellery through the POST and you receive a sum of money in return. You don't know how much you'll get until they've got your jewellery, but if you're not happy with the amount you can return the cheque and they'll return the jewellery. The other day OH and I spotted Little Monsters Indoor Play Zone. And today I saw Mini Beasts Play Club. Monsters, beasts - are the parents proud that there little brats are so badly behaved? Or maybe they think it's funny because of course Shitlina is such an angel, the people running the business don't actually think she's a monster. Yeah I bet!

Whats a 'yummy mummy'? I've heard this bandied about for ages and I think the definition completely passed me by. The whole word does seem to be a bit of an oxymoron to me? My SIL has just brought a nappy bag for rug dribbler which has the word yummy mummy printed in the side. What does that mean?

Anyone know and would care to explain it and where it came from?

Reason I ask is that at the gym today a heavily pregnant woman walked by and all the meat heads at the weight lifting section were mesmerised by her! Were they ogling or were they disgusted at her? Retro junk food

Is it just me or has there been a sudden surge of retro junk food making its way back onto the shelves. Examples; wispa, beef monster munch, wispa gold, dark chocolate mars bars etc etc.
Can I just say how great I think this is. I love wispa and I love monster munch. The only problem is that wispas are 60p which is basically a rip off as it's at least 40% air. If only they'd bring back those Secret bars. The ones with the chocolate mousse inside a chocolate shell that looked...

I quite often get people tell me (cos I obviously don't have my own mind) that my dog is a child substitute. I usually say - "Oh I don't think so, my dog is so much better than any child." People also tell me I have fulfilled my need to have a child by getting a dog - I don't have a need to have a child you pumpkin head! I really like dogs, I'm not too keen on kids!

My entire life I have been an owl. I groan when I have to get up at seven for work every day, and always have a lie in till 9/10 at the weekends. This has been the case since I was at school/college, all through uni and continued through years of working. I go to bed at about eleven when I'm working and always read for a while.

I did wonder if I should try getting up earlier to get stuff done, but I could never be bothered.....
